Biomedicine and Chemical Sciences (BCS) recognizes the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted technologies in research and scholarly communication. The journal supports the responsible and transparent use of such tools while maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity.
Authors may use AI-assisted technologies for language editing, grammar improvement, formatting assistance, and other supportive functions. However, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of all submitted content.
Any significant use of AI-assisted tools in the preparation of a manuscript should be disclosed in the manuscript, including the name of the tool and the purpose for which it was used.
Artificial Intelligence tools, chatbots, or automated systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship is limited to individuals who meet the journal’s authorship criteria and can take responsibility for the work.
Authors must verify all AI-generated content and ensure that it does not contain fabricated information, inaccurate citations, plagiarism, or misleading statements. The use of AI tools does not exempt authors from their ethical and scholarly responsibilities.
Editors and reviewers must not upload confidential manuscript content to AI systems that may compromise author confidentiality, intellectual property, or unpublished research data.
BCS encourages the ethical, transparent, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence while safeguarding the integrity of scientific research and scholarly publishing.
