Biomedicine and Chemical Sciences (BCS) recognizes that authors may occasionally request the withdrawal of a manuscript. Authors wishing to withdraw a manuscript must submit a written request to the Editorial Office, clearly stating the reason for withdrawal.
Manuscripts may be withdrawn without penalty if the withdrawal request is received before the manuscript has been sent for peer review.
Requests for withdrawal during the peer-review process will be considered by the Editorial Office. Authors should provide a valid reason for withdrawal and await formal confirmation from the journal before submitting the manuscript elsewhere.
Withdrawal requests submitted after acceptance are generally discouraged and will only be considered under exceptional circumstances. The journal reserves the right to evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis.
Once an article has been published, it cannot be withdrawn. In cases involving serious errors, ethical concerns, or scientific misconduct, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction in accordance with established publication ethics guidelines and COPE recommendations.
BCS reserves the right to reject withdrawal requests where evidence of unethical conduct, duplicate submission, or attempts to manipulate the publication process are identified.
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and ensuring ethical publishing practices at all stages of the publication process.
